Pre-Reno Cleanup

In order to prepare the place for a renovation, I have been busy working at home cleaning up and packing away things. It is a tedious and frustrating business. It seems like it is never going to be ended. Our family must have got thousands of books at home. It is sometimes so easy to go ahead to buy things but it may not be so much fun to find spaces to store them or to get rid of them.
As my usual optimistic self, I just treat it as a good opportunity to clean up some 'thousand year old dust' at the back of the shelves, or underneath the computer table. The interesting part of it is finding out some stuff which has been hidden away for years, like some school magazines from my primary school and high school, some almost treated as 'antique' or at least 'vintage' comic books, and some souvenirs I can't even remember when and where I got from. It has also been a fun process to pick colors and the materials for the renovation.
I am just going to take it easy to finish the packing job and then sit back to enjoy the new rooms. But before the happy ending I still need to put things back to their original spots after the reno. That could be even more challenging!
